The latest feature at the Tanoa Rakiraki is the opening of the first hotel training school in Fiji and the South Pacific in partnership with the Australia Pacific Technical College (APTC ). The Rakiraki Hotel Training School trains students from all around the Pacific in the arts of cookery, food and beverage service and front office operations.

Rakiraki’s colonial township with its old world charm and serenity is just two minutes from Tanoa Rakiraki Hotel on Kings Road and provides a wonderful insight into true Fiji. This is the gateway to outer islands on the coast of Viti Levu.

Things to do:

  • A popular spot for kite-surfing and windsurfing
  • Visit fabulous Oni Beach on the northern most side of the Island
  • Drive to Suva, 2 hours down the Eastern side of the island, via the Kings Road highway, see the "real" Fiji
  • Scuba dive off the northern shores of Viti Levu to see amazing soft corals with great visibility
